Inkberry, Ilex glabra, planted 2013 with a Grant from NJ DOT. A shrub naturally maturing to 8′ tall if left un-pruned.

The berries are dark purple, but it is the neat rounded evergreen leaves which make this shrub ornamental.
Look for our Inkberry in all of the garden beds along the curb line of the Arboretum.
