[vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_images_carousel images=”229,230″ onclick=”link_image” custom_links_target=”_self” mode=”horizontal” speed=”5000″ slides_per_view=”1″ autoplay=”yes” wrap=”yes” img_size=”medium”][/vc_column][vc_column][vc_column_text]Ginkgo, Ginkgo biloba, is also known as the Dinosaur Tree or the Fair Maidenhair Tree because it appears in fossil beds dated 270 million years ago!  In China, where it currently grows naturally, it’s leaves make a popular tea with a reputation for improving health.  Ginkgo is also sold as a supplement here in the US vitamin trade.  Our arboretum Ginkgo is just a juvenile now, but will be 100′ tall when full grown in about 20 years.   Today all over the world, Ginkgo is growing in parks and along roadways.  It is a proven winner in urban environments, but give it clear lawn space 10′ x 10′ minimum if you want one!
