The DSTC hosted the first ever and surely to be annual Living History at the Arboretum! Riding the Rails Through History! On June 6, 2015 it was a celebration of the Dumont Railroad Station and our Train History! Displays included train structures and buildings. We were honored to host Professional Train Engineers who were on hand to answer questions on our current rail system. Visitors viewed original documents from the West Shore Railroad Company and learned about Operation Life Saver (Rail Safety) from a CSX representative. There were working train displays for all ages. The Garden committee had displays of all their good work at the space and were on hand to answer questions for your gardening needs. Young children were treated to a Story Time courtesy of Julie from the Dumont Library! Thanks to James Parrish and Tom Fisichella for driving this event to a wonderful day!
