Home > 2017 > Check out the new bench at the Arboretum!

Crafted from a 90+ year old Taxas Yew taken from the estate of Joseph Curtin on Walnut Street in Englewood, NJ. The wood for the bench was donated by Joyce Monges after the death of her friend and partner Joseph Curtin on 07/31/2016. Mr. Curtin was an Artist and Scholar who lived at the estate for over 60 years surrounded by rare antiques and works of art. The estate was originally owned by Mr. Jones, the successful Wall Street Investment Broker—you may have heard of the “Dow Jones Industrial Average” bearing his name. The bench was crafted by our very own Bill Zitelli and Tom Fisichella.
